How to approach a girl ?
STUDENT OF ANOTHER COLLEGE:
You generally meet students of other colleges at Inter College Competitions or during the College fests. Those are great opportunities to interact between students of other colleges.
a) Inter College Competitions:
Generally those who are participating attend these events. Here you are already able to gauge 'Her' area of interest (at least one to being with) take the cue from there and approach her intelligently.

If she has participated with a dance or a song group you can always say - "Congratulations! I think your group was great ... let me introduce myself. I am Pankaj from XYZ College".

If she was in the quiz and her team had won then you should have no problem. Just go and congratulate her. If not you can always say - "Hi! I'm Amol from XYZ College. We were desperately wanting your team to bag the second place"
GIRL: " Why second?"
BOY: "Of course we were supporting our college to bag the first place.
How about you'll? What's the next event anyway?
GIRL: "There's a short break now"
BOY: "Why don't we all go down to the Canteen and chill ourselves with a C D?"…
You can take a couple of your friends and the girl's partner also and treat them to cold drinks, you've surely made a great headway!
b) College Festivals:
This is fun time for college goers. It is an informal atmosphere and the right time to introduce yourself.

It's easy to get an "INTRO" through a common acquaintance at this time.

Introduce yourself casually to one of the students of her group. This will give you access to striking a friendship with her... romance can follow!

'Eye Contact" would be also a very effective communication mode for you at this time.

After the 'Fest' is over it generally gets quite late in the night. You may offer to drop her back home. Of course she has to trust you first.
