Ingredients:
Method : Heat 1 tablespoon oil and saute the rice for a few minutes. Boil with enough water till tender but take care not to over cook. When done, spread out on a plate and keep aside to cool. Heat the remaining oil in a deep bottomed pan and add the mustard seeds, red chillies, asafoetida and turmeric powder. Saute for a few minutes till the seeds start crackling. Remove from heat and add the urad dal. Pour the seasoning over the rice and mix well. Add the grated mango, salt, sugar and peanuts. Serve with curds. |
